Please visit the web pages of other MSU Extension Regional Land Use Educators to view what education offerings they may have. As those individuals are hired and links to their web pages are available, they will be listed here.

If you do not see education programming desired here, contact your local County Extension Director or Kurt H. Schindler (schindl9@msu.edu).  It is very possible we can create a new program which meets your specific needs.

Other programs can be developed for a specific need, as identified by the respective County Extension Director and client.  The time taken to develop a program not listed here will take considerably more time to prepare and schedule.  The inquiry should be made 4 to 6 months ahead.  (At this time –January 24, 2002–  Schindler’s goal is to develop future program on avoiding liability, solutions for junk accumulation problems, and training for zoning administrators.)
Schindler will not spend time to duplicate programs already developed by others on the MSU Extension Land Use Area of Expertise team.  In those cases the request may be forwarded to those who already have a program similar to that is being asked for.   In doing so MSU Extension will not duplicate programs which have already been developed by other reputable organizations, Michigan Association of Planning (MAP) (formerly Michigan Society of Planning, and formerly MSPO), Michigan Townships Association, and Michigan Municipal League.  MSU Extension Land Use Area of Expertise team has an understanding with Michigan Society of Planning that it will seek to partner and work with that organization to avoid duplication.  Several of the Society’s planning and zoning programs can be taught be Extension persons.
